The Story
Torben and his family came to the US and applied for asylum in early 2019 because of religious persecution in Denmark, their home country.
On June 30, 2022, Torben was asked to attend an interview with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to “discuss his immigration status” in Orlando. He traveled to Florida from California to attend the interview, but shockingly, he was detained instead of being interviewed.
During the 412 days he spent in jail, he faced various unfounded accusations like weapons smuggling, human trafficking, tax fraud, and other outrageous claims. However, he was never charged with any of these offenses. Instead, he was labeled as a ‘national threat’.

The first episode shows how Torben cooperated with a television program. However, the creators had an agenda. The program misled viewers in Denmark and made them believe Torben was dangerous and should be dealt with. It also influenced politics and advocated that casting out demons in certain situations be made punishable.

Letters from prison
